I want to see Campbell up top. I think that would put the game away.

Besides squandering that first chance and a few instances where I wish he would have passed earlier I think he has played well today.

I have no idea why Santi isn't at LM and Ozil at the other spot in the middle next to Jack. Ozil is clearly uncomfortable out there

Great performance especially in the second half. Should've won 3 or 4-0. Alexis, Cazorla, Wilshere, Chamberlain, Monreal all played great. Overcame shitty refereeing. Let's fill out the squad, beat Leicester city, and then daydream about titles for 13 days

I only got to see the final 25 or so minutes. Right after the send off.

Pleas, please go buy a Center Back, CDM, and Striker. We have needed to add quality and depth to all 3 since the end of last season, and now we have suffered injuries at two of those 3 positions. We have absolutely no depth there, I don't know if I can survive watching another 2 months of this given our injury status

Wow we have to be buying then I would think. We'll have to overpay cause everyone knows we're desperate, but with qualification assured, there's no way we can't.

Betweem Alexis, Sanogo, Campbell, Podolski, and potentially Walcott, we don't have to buy anyone. But selling Podolski or Campbell should be out of the question now.

With that crew they either aren't healthy yet, or would wear down incredibly quickly. Not to mention many of which don't seem to be the kind of player who can flourish up top alone.

I'm not saying it's a perfect group, but it's enough to prevent a panic buy. Ramsey's goal-scoring form also limits the need for a big striker. They might still buy one though and I wouldn't complain if they did.

I've wanted a top drawer Striker for a long time now, so I wouldn't complain, but if we did just buy someone like Bony or whomever I would also be very pleased. Right now we truly do need someone, but I wouldn't want to get taken to the cleaners unless it is for a top drawer caliber player.

It's a shame how we can only get 2 foreign players, and with every club seeing our current somewhat desperate state we probably could only afford 2 players instead of the 3 we need in CB/CDM/ST

Just watched. What a match! Besiktas played really well, they are a lively bunch and made us step the game up. Made it exciting.

For whatever reason Jack plays better when he is not paired with Ramsey. Im not 100% but I don't think he got a touch on that no call in the box. I really like pairing ozil and Santi on the left. Much better interchanging and both players are better playing through the middle. Cazorla was great today. Alexis just got stronger as the match went on. He will be great for us. Ox strong showing as well.

Defensively I thought flamini did well. Really was communicating out there. Not a stand out but def solid. Per and kos prove why they are first choice. Monreal did well defending and putting a few dangerous crosses in. Debuchy was better, I felt he played better after the yellow and had runs with purpose that resulted in good attack. I think he got ball on the no call and ball on the second yellow, but that's the gamble you take.

Wynalda annoys me.

It's early and they're on the same club team which means infinitely more games and practices to figure it out, but Ramsey and Wilshere have been very Lampard/Gerrardesque when paired together

Finally got to watch the game. A little too close for comfort at the end, but considering the injuries coming in I'll take it. Was definitely exciting. Nice to see Alexis get his first of many goals

COYG!
