"Be a man" is the stupidest shite ever. OP, do what you want to do.
I've researched it. I'd do the shaved head thing again, but my big ears look stupid when I'm bald.
There are 2 transplants used these days. The FUT method is cheaper, but it leaves a scar where they harvest hair from the back of your head. FUE is more expensive but shouldn't leave any scars (I think).
I wouldn't need much at all, but even the small amount I'd get done would cost at least $2-3K for the FUT method. The FUE would probably be twice that.
This site actually lists their prices, which is rare. The clinic is in India, unfortunately, but the doctor has great reviews. LINK
There's a completely non-surgical option as well. PRP. Some people seem to have great results. But others don't. So it's not as much of a guarantee. But it IS much cheaper, I believe.

Just cut it short or shave entirely. Women are perfectly fine with that, but they can easily detect the desperation of hair implants.

Just accept aging for what it is and be comfortable with yourself. Guys with plugs and toupes look like losers with no self confidence.

I have a friend that just got some implants a few months ago. He now looks about the same with a little and I mean little bit more hair but now has a 10k bill. Not worth it IMO. I just keep it shaved.

There really is a drastic difference in what was available in the 90s as opposed to now. A who bunch of celebrities have transplants, and you wouldn't even know it

Exactly. People commenting about how they are obviously hair plugs and look like garbage really don't know what they're talking about. Sure, if you went to a crappy doctor maybe.

Gordy Rush got them. He's all over those billboards advertising for whatever hack doc he got them from.

Guy I know got them, but they fell out. Like $3000 down the drain...literally.
I would do it if and when my hair falls out as I have so many knots and cuts on my head it's probably hideous and would scare the hell out of people.

Not sure if I have the type of head that looks good shaved. Some men can pull it off but I'm not sure if I'm one of them.

Shave your head and hit the gym. You will get laid. Women LOVE a bald guy if he is in shape. I am no Casanova and I have been having more success with women today than ever before in my life.
