I bought the entire second season of LOST on iTunes in like 2006. It was the first time I bought a TV show in iTunes and then they all downloaded at once so that's 24 episodes at once.

But really, LOST lent itself to being binge watched because it had an addicting aspect of it unlike any TV show. I've never seen a show where it's viewers were so adamant about wanting to know what happens next. You had to watch the next episode to hopefully figure out your questions (which rarely happened).

We didn't start watching Lost until season 3 was airing. My wife caught one of those catch-up recap episodes on, and we watched that. It looked interesting, so I started TiVo on that season, and went to my channel guide to catch all the repeats from that season too. We watched S1 and S2 in about a week at the end of the summer, then watched all of the recorded S3, right before S4 came out. So 3 seasons of Lost in about a week. We'd knock out 3-4 episodes a night. This was before the kids were born, so it was easy to blow through several episodes when we got home after dinner. Nothing else was on in the summer worth watching and that is when I added streaming to my Netflix account.

Before that, we were on a 24 kick. I had the 3 discs option with Netflix, and that was half a season of 24. I remember taking a portable DVD player on our flight to Hawaii and it was over 8 hours in the air from Houston to Honolulu. I think I went through 6 episodes on the flight out and the other 6 on the flight back.
