All of the premium seats in Tiger Stadium are purple.

Just realized that.

They had originally planned for all of those seats to be gold, but I'm glad they went with the purple.

Hope the left side of those boards aren't for ads
I know ads are a running joke around here and all, but I wouldn't put it past them to do this. I would be realllly pissed off if they did this.
I would stop going to the weaker games and only show up for big games if they pulled some shite like this. I know my contributions aren't shite, but I do buy a frick load of hot dogs when I'm drunk and they're expensive. I usually make every home game except for 1 every year, the past couple years anyway. Those ads were so so bad last year.
ETA I see a post above mine with full video boards working. Let's hope it stays like that. We need better replays and highlights of other games during commercial breaks.

that is not today - go to lsusports.net and see official pics and the field is totally different
They sanded the field earlier today. You can see them starting it in the lsusports.net pictures. It appears that Speedy's are from later in the day once they were done spreading the sand.

Why can't the whole outside be one color? I never really got into the arguments about the color but that is flat out hideous.
Holy crap, you people...

Exactly, Davis. All this picture shows me is that the west side expansion was the biggest botched renovation in LSU's campus history

The OCD in me makes me want to go paint the brown on the west side, white, myself.
I really wish we had just gone balls out, spent Texas A&M money and redone the entire west side to look like the SEZ on the exterior. This is the first time I've been able to see the expansion from a perspective that shows the entire stadium and I think the new addition is gorgeous. If that were to wrap all the way around the west, it would flow very nicely with the roman architecture already in place in the NEZ and out stadium would be unmatched by anyone

This guy....,
You'd stop going to games because of a jumbo tron, stop being dramatic. We've only had jumbo trons period for like 15 years at most

It's easy to say that in hindsight after what we have done to the stadium since, but at the time it was built, it was a huge upgrade. I think too many people forget how much worse the old west side upper deck looked

Painting every inch of the exterior of the stadium the same color would look dumb fyi.

Agreed but they could paint the concrete areas to match the SEZ expansion and leave the two large brown features or paint them a in a manner that accents the rest of the stadium.

People need to keep this in perspective... Look at other college football stadiums from the outside. Ours looks like a billion dollar painting compared to the likes of
Auburn
Florida
Tennessee
And pretty much every other stadium I can think of. The outside of Tiger Stadium is much more attractive than pretty much every other stadium I look at IMO.

You have a photo of ever bank field in Jacksonville for UF and Neyland has been wrapped with a new exterior.

That Florida picture is Jax stadium (WLOCP).
And I have been refraining from talking about the color, but I really don't see the South Endzone color matching. You have poured concrete on the bottom, and plaster/stucco at the top. Hopefully they try to get them as close as possible, but they will never be identical.

This! It would be nice for all these assclown architectural wanna-be critics to STFU. The stadium will look bad arse. They know what they are doing. When completed in will look uniform and awesome. THEY KNOW WHAT THE F THEY ARE DOING!
I love the outside color so far of the SEZ. I'm very happy it's not going to be that shite brown color located elsewhere.

Obviously wasn't thinking.
Still look at how uneven looking Ben Hill G stadium is also...
