Southeast well represented. Georgia comes in with 3 cities. Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana with 1 each.
Lol at Michigan.

And if they went with cities under 50,000 there would be a ton more. Sparta, GA is about the most abandoned place I've ever seen. Gorgeous old houses just sitting there falling apart.

Birmingham, Memphis, Montgomery, Baton Rouge, St Louis immediately comes to mind in the SE

So cities shrinking means that nobody wants to live there? Gotcha.

Detroit population:
1950: 1.85 million
2013: 681,000
You have to think it's going to bottom out at some point. No idea when that would be, though.

Don't think I'd call Valdosta or Albany a city, but would never want to live in Valdosta because of the gnats alone.

I knew Montgomery would be on the list when I clicked on it. I posted it on Facebook so people will stop asking when I'm going to visit.

Laredo, Texas should sue them for failure to include.
Even the Hispanics who wade across the Rio Grande each night from Nuevo Laredo get the heck out of there as fast as they can.

I don't know how Manhattan, KS made the list, its been growing for years. They even have commercial air service these days. Its a good place for Kansas standards.

I figured the Detroit area would be well represented.
