Before classification shifts it was 2-5A with West Monroe, ruston, Neville, ouachita and Bastrop. Each team has won multiple championship, with Bastrops and Neville doing it now in 4A. Still not a bad district that I thought may get better with ASH, but they are not nearly as competitive in 5A as they were in 4A.

He's talking about Newman. Newman did well against Rummel in 7 on 7, so clearly Roth should be worried about Nelson Stewart going to Jesuit.

Yep, especially since 7-on-7 is a true reflection of a team! Roth isn't worried about stopping Newman's passing game or that hurry up offense - just making light of the situation with recent play.

In a real game with lineman - Rummel 48 - Newman 10

was it bad enough to cause him to quit coaching and teaching?

I guess so.

I had not heard about this.

Stll sort of odd he would wait till July to make this decision.

Aside from Holy Cross, I'm pretty sure every school has been to the at least the state semi-finals multiple times in the last 30 years.

Rummel should have won at least one title in the 2001-2003 years. Aside from 2012, those were some of the best teams that Roth had.

They always ran into Evangel though in the semis.

1 team winning state titles doesn't mean it's better as a whole than another district, yes?

Rummel probably has a trophy or two if not for Brock Berlin and JDB
