The taco take over is in full swing on Magazine street. That Byblos location is fairly new, wonder if it's the same ownership just trying to cash in on the taco game. Either way I like tacos.

I'm not sure what your post is saying.

So there's a new taco place next door to the bulldog already open and Byblos is no longer there?

Hope it's better than Del Fuego. Looks like restaurant owners are seeing the Mexican genre gap Nola has and acting appropriately.

that was the Best Byblos IMO but it wasn't as good as some other options in the area.

NOLA.com article

Searched it and found these. I'll try it.

Glad the Byblos on Vets and also the Old Metairie location will both stay.

Good to hear. That Byblos was a waste of space. Hopefully this taco joint is a better option in that price location.

In a similar vein Wise, I popped into the new asian joint on Magazine @ Philip St. called AJ & J's Asian Bistro and looked at a menu. Wasn't very impressed. It's mostly sushi, and they have a couple sections dedicated to things like pad thai and general tso's and a lemongrass noodle dish, etc. .. menu was massive, like they're trying to offer a big variety of different asian cuisines. My guess without tasting any food yet is that they're overextended which makes nothing taste exceptional.
