That's why I hated his selection. He isn't even a good defender by MLS standards.
But Klinsmann wasn't playing him at right back (not really, at least), and he was utilized perfectly for his skill set.
That's why I'm saying he should just move up to midfield instead.

I guess we watched different games today, because I saw him backtrack like no one I've seen in a US shirt in recent memory, and make 2 or 3 big tackles to win back the ball. I didn't see him make any big mistakes today. I'll have to re-watch to verify that, but I'm pretty sure he was one of our best players today.

He was one of our best players today not named Howard. I thought he played very well. His run down and sweet arse tackle on Hazard in the 2nd half was money.
