the frick?
He was acting like hill put his health on the line for us. I was exaggerating a point to show it works the other way too. Hill didn't "struggle" more than any other kids on our team, or fans for that matter.

So it's the extra $50k that's bothering people? Getting a contract like that and buying a car like that is not that bad. Now if he buys several cars and a ridiculous home, he may be in some trouble.
The problem is being stuck with that car and getting injured because you get hit on almost every play as a rb. Making zero money after 3 years. And this is before youve even touched the ball wearing your new nfl jersey. I dont care what he gets honestly, but there is a thread saying we should help former tigers when they are in trouble. Yet if i made some poor financial decisions will any of my fellow tigers help me out? I just wanted to live it up.

Is this real life? A 9 page thread arguing about how Jeremy Hill spends his money?

Dude, GFY...we all struggled. We all passed the same school curriculum that he did, except them, many of us had to work and pay our own way to college. Just because he's black somehow you think he struggled more? Your thoughts are the perfect example of reverse racism, or basically racism.
I worked two jobs for 6 years to pay my way through LSU. Took a while but finished without any loans, i struggled, lived in shitty apartments, ate shitty food. A lot of us made sacrifices.

I thought maseratis were around the 120-150k range?
Anyway, you are probably right about it being leased.
Based on the pricing guide, these cars seem to top out at $153K.

That's what you get when insecurity, jealousy and racism combine and rear their ugly head due to one social media post.

Good for him.. I hope he has a good financial guy that will keep him from blowing through all of it.

If this were a house i wouldn't have a problem with it.
Gotta wait on that 2nd contract if u get it, then ball out.

hey rickety, you sound as fun as a bucket of pissed off snakes.
the problem is that way too many of these players wake up in a few years, and have zero to show for their work. then they attach their name to some class action suit against the nfl. the nfl settles, and undoubtedly it filters down to ticket prices rising even more.
i truly hope he succeeds, but if he does end up in the broke majority, he will get zero sympathy from me. You cannot have it both ways. you cannot win a lottery (nfl pay), blow it all, and ask for sympathy later. he can enjoy living under the overpass that his/our tax dollars helped to build.
go j hill!!!

Will make about 4 mill over 4 years.
Spends 200k+ on a car.
Aint no thang partna
Average Lifespan = 78 years
So he will need 4mil to stretch approximately 50 years. If he were able to save it all until he retired from the NFL that would equate to an annual salary of $80,000. Add that to whatever he is able to make post-NFL and he could live comfortably bringing in six figures even with a ~35k/year job (taxes). Blowing more than two years of your potential retirement on a car that would last maybe six years as a daily driver(add 100k on repairs and maintenance)? Aint no thang I guess lol.
