MKT 701 was intense as far as workload. The concepts were not hard but the workload was overwhelming. The one cool thing about Dr. James is that she offers quite a bit of extra credit. She may be disorganized but she seemed to be fair. I took the org strategy and policy class right after MKT 701, this worked really well for me as most of the MKT 701 concepts blended with the material and made it easier to research/write a paper on Blue Ocean. I used Apple as my case study, I was able to leverage some of the research I completed with the Fitbit paper.
I am taking my ACCT 701 final tonight, I was able to regain my footing in the class after the module 4 disaster so I have a low A. I will be ecstatic if I can keep an A with the final. Worse case scenario, I will get a B.

Hi, were you at a 79? If so, she is going to round it up to a B.

Thanks! I knew that practice exam was too easy in comparison to the weekly assessments we have done. I was hoping for an A in the class but may be destined for a B. As long as I get half of the questions correct on the final, I will get my B.

I'm so sorry! I would be livid at this point!

Well, I'm officially done! Good luck to everyone finishing up their courses this week. Stay strong and persevere through the program if you're having trouble. Trust me, it's worth it. I've received a job offer from a company that likely would not have looked my way before hand, and I attribute that to the MBA program.

@Jeaux Cool congrats of finishing and the new job!

Although she has stated there's be no grade adjustments or extra credit opportunities. I'm hoping that she'll change her mind at the amount of requests I'm sure she's about to get.
It's gotten to the point where it's comedic. The technical and presentation issues with the exams in this class have obviously negatively affected most of the grades in this class, yet not only is McGee not fixing anything, but she's blatantly ignoring everyone's concerns.
Is there someone at LSUS that this can be addressed with above McGee?

Finishing up MADM 701 with Kungu. Pretty easy class. Counting on an A. Read, write, take exam.
Pretty straightforward. Compared to 760 with Meeks it is certainly less enlightening but I still learned a good bit.
I agree with you. I enjoyed the class with Kungu. The textbook and material was a drag. I also took 760 with Meeks before this class and it was by far more interesting. I did learn a lot with Kungu and his was always available. I was dreading MADM701 so glad I took it with him!

Congrats on the new job Jeaux!
I changed jobs mid-program and had a similar experience. My LSUS degree opened doors and paid for itself before I even finished. Hopefully everyone else has similar experiences.

Yes I also agree. Kungu was fair, straight forward, and a pretty easy class. Write 1 or 2 papers per week, take 1 test per week, no Final. I enjoyed the material - some of it was the same as I learned in my job training so it is relevant.

I would not be surprised to see many people lose 1-2 letter grades on this exam. I went in confident and feeling well prepared, came out of the exam swearing like a sailor.
my 4.0 is riding on getting a 22/30 on this final. i was going to take it today, but i'll probably do more reviewing i guess.
any other overall feedback? a lot of formula oriented stuff? other terms? does he give you a bunch of numbers and ask for the calculated answer for certain formulas?

I used a different computer for doing the exam than I did for all of my homework, which left me with only the book to access. That was next to worthless, so open book is really very little help if any. The whole class was very qualitative in general, so I felt blindsided.

I was in Acct 701 this semester. Took the final on Tuesday and scored terribly. I felt great going in. It's over and I came out with a B. I'll take it.

Are there any study tips you would mind sharing within the rules of the code of honor?
