I agree with that. That is one issue that I am worried about with the ISDS705 class. Especially since the final grade is only made up of 3 exams.

So do both quizzes ask the same questions? I'm a bit concerned about the Excel, as I find it difficult at times for some reason. Any suggestions?

I assume this is about ECON? You get 2 attempts at one quiz and 2 attempts at the 2nd quiz. 2nd quiz is different quiz than the first.
As far as Excel most of it is running regressions. I test as a power excel user and I never used it for regression until this class. The Professor does a good job of teaching it through video and examples.

Second quiz was brutal. I made a B in that class

Jeff, I agree with you. Expecting us to memorize seems childish. The use of notes is allowed in the real world. So why not in academic tests. This is my biggest complaint about the program transitioning to proctoring.

If I'd been aware proctoring was coming I would have doubled up on classes. This shift is a game changer.

I'm wondering why Lin chose ProctorU instead of Proctorio for ISDS 705. I'm with you amiller that this makes me nervous with having entire grade based on 3 proctored exams. No writing assignments to help pull it up.

What exactly does proctoring consist of? Is your screen visible to anyone? Glad I finished before thy transitioned.

Proctorio had access to view your screen, ensure secondary monitors were not attached, webcam monitoring, audio monitoring, and would randomly ask you to scan the room (time continued to count down even when it would ask you to scan the room).

Hi, I am applying for this program, MBA with Finance concentration. How many classes did you take per session in order to finish in 12 months? I am working full-time so I plan to take 1 class at a time. I am a little scared when you talked about the workload so just want to have in idea. Thanks for sharing.

Hi hannat, welcome to the LSUS online MBA program. Nice to see another SoCal student.

Each calendar year has 6 sessions. So to finish the required 10 courses in one year you'd need to take 2 courses for 4 of the 6 sessions. It's doable and there are multiple people in this forum who've said they pulled it off while juggling their full-time job and family. Not necessarily easy but very doable if you commit the time to it.

Hi socal77, thanks for sharing. I live in OC, how about you? I am applying for the program and so nervous about everything since I work full-time with two kids. Are you working on your MBA too? I plan to take one class at a time only. :)
