I'm currently set to take Econ 705 with Shaughnessy and MADM 760 with meeks in Summer AP2. Any thoughts on this combination in terms of workload?

I took MADM 701 and BADM 790 this term and haven't had any issues. It's time consuming for sure, but I've been able to complete the work by Friday.

Special thanks to Brentb71 for the review on Econ 705!

Thanks for any insight!

I will also be in that MADM 760 class with you Vantix.

I am taking it with FIN 710.

I found that ECON 705 could be difficult at times but he give you the test questions prior to taking the test. You just need to spend time working on the answer prior to starting the test.

Thanks Jeaux Cool and Benny! Good to see others that will be taking some of the same classes!

I've been reading similar posts today Benny. A lot of people seem to think Econ 705 was challenging, but they had opportunity to do well. I'd really like to knock both of these out together, but I've seen several posts indicating Econ 705 is best taken alone.. Hmmm..

Anyone else experiencing an incorrect coding of answers to the assignments in MADM 701? The last two weeks I have turned in a incorrect answers. I didn't mention it but in both weeks there has been at least one question from material outside the weeks content. I suppose that is her prerogative but I do not think that is how she designed it to be.

vantix, As others have said, ECON is not easy. If you are good with Excel and math then it will be easier for you than those who are not. One thing he does that I haven't had any other instructor do is post video lectures w/PowerPoint. It helps if you're an auditory learner. He also will have video chat sessions to help out with any problems. He is very vague in his help as he is cautious not to give away any answers. MADM 760 is a good bit of busy work but it's all easy stuff. Just take it one week at a time. I didn't double up either of those classes and I wish I had. In ranking the hours I've spent on classes, MADM 760 and ECON 705 took the least amount of time.

A couple of quiz point adjustments in MKT 701. I didn't get either.

agree with others, I took MAD760 alone, wont say super busy but the course will keep you occupied, i have couple of folks known who were doing 2 at the same time so i am sure its doable with some extra effort.

Sorry brent, but the light is there at the end of the tunnel. I wonder when we will get our grades for the simulation, because I may just decide to blow off next weeks quiz if I have an A wrapped up already.

On a side note, so close to an A in MADM 701 I can taste it but I don't think its going to happen and its pissing me off greatly.

unless she curves, i am mathematically eliminated from getting an A.... and i need to put in very minimal effort for a B. i could average 60s on the tests and discussions amd still have a B. sucks man

Aurebelman, I did have some incorrect coding in MADM 701, I emailed her the last 3 weeks about questions. The first week and this week she said I was correct and that she would give me my points (That hasn't happened yet) and last week she gave an explanation why I was still wrong that I didn't understand, but I still think the question was BS.

I'm hoping I can be close enough to an A that she bumps me up because I have replied to a forum post every week but haven't seen any bonus points from that. Without that I have to make like a 93 on everything else to make an A

MondayAMQB are you up to date on all the other grades? I don't have grades for Skype, Blue 2 & 3 brief. I have a solid A right now but started reading the chapters just in case I have to take the quiz.

Brent, I don't have a grade for Skype or Blue 3 brief, but have a grade for everything else. We got our blue 2 brief grade back yesterday so I would think you will be getting yours soon.

Is anyone having trouble with Turnitin in MADM 701? I submitted my forum post last night and it was still showing pending. So this morning I re-submitted and I still haven't got a similarity score

Yes MondayAMQB,

It's because it's the end of the session and everyone is submitting their papers to be looked at. So they are a little slower than usual because of the amount of papers being submitted. But you should not have resubmitted it because now you have to wait exactly 24 hours before you receive a response. It took my initial submission 24 hours as well.

That's odd. I've never had to wait more than 10 mins or so for my Similarity score. I guess I better knock this out!

Vantix, I never really had to wait before either so thats why I thought something was wrong with the upload when I still dind't have a score after 15 hours so I re-submitted. Now I have to wait a full 24 hours.

Hi Everyone,

I think I mentioned about taking 3 classes before, and my feedback was don't. I am kind of in a time crunch regarding my job, and I need to take 3 classes in FAll AP1. My schedule would be ACCT 701 with Ambrosio, Finance with Vines, and MADM 710 with Amy Wren. From what I have gathered from this forum ACCT and Finance is not extremely bad.

Please provide me with any feedback on this combination. Is it manageable or unmanageable? Are these a set of classes I shouldn't take together? Will I be stressing the entire 7 weeks? I have an undergrad in Finance, so I am kind of looking forward to that class.

Thank You!

I took FIN 730 w Vines and MADM 715 w Wren together last session and it was OK. FIN 730 is less demanding than FIN 701 because it didn't have as many problems. 715 was a lot of reading and studying but no busy work other than a virtual presentation. That was kind of a disaster so I don't know if she's still doing it. Sorry but no way I would've been able to handle a 3rd class with them. Everyone is different though and your background should make FIN and ACCT easier.
