Going into the World Cup, the only players most people were comfortable with and trusted out there were Dempsey, Howard, and Bradley.

I would add Cameron, Fabian Johnson, and maybe Besler to the list (not for me, but for an approximation of a typical fan who watches most matches), but all after Dempsey, Howard, and Bradley.
