Productive Yak Fishing Spots Close to NOLA

Where do you yakers have success close to town ? I mainly fish GI but when I make a trip close to town it's Fort Pike. I've never had any success at FP, need a new spot.

In the fall and winter, go to one of the old backdowns at Hopedale Lagoon. You could probably pick up some reds in there in the summer.

the best spots havent been mentioned and prob wont be mentioned bc those who know them dont want the world fishing them
