Yes. It was. I think it was just a throw-away gag with her offering her counseling services to Diggle and his wife. But it was supposed to be Harley.
...thanks..
You think it's just a throw away?? Why not bring her in on a few episodes??
From what I remember , isn't she totally batshit insane?

She is completely batshit insane.
Although she comes off as an insane airhead, she is actually highly intelligent and a former psychiatrist treating the Joker.

She would definitely be an awesome character to use. But you would have to find the right actress to pull her off.
And yeah, she's BSC. She is in love with the Joker for goodness sake.

that's right.. It's been years sine I've crack open a comic... so a lot of small details I don't can't right away

i also think they will be avoiding batman villains moving forward with the premier of "Gotham" in the fall.

Would have to be someone not from major network tv.. that was portrayed as a good girl for sure..
But I'm sure finding a lunatic female isn't that hard in LA...

I agree. And she'd be a waste without Joker or Ivy to play off of.
I do have a petition out there for them to feature Felicity in a Harley costume. Just for my own personal benefit.

....
Moving on.... Another Question..
Would any of you want a suicide squad stand alone show??

The only people I can think of that fits the description of the second character are from Batman like Mad Hatter, Scarecrow, Anarky.
I'm starting to think it might be the Mad Hatter. The description says he exposes them to a drug that drains their willpower, so unless they take liberties with the Scarecrow, it doesn't sound like his fear toxin. And I don't remember Anarky using mind control chemicals.
I don't know why they would try and avoid using Batman villains since Gotham is a Fox show, and not a CW show.

might be 2 different networks, but Fox is using DC's production teams. Their Chief Creative Officer (Geoff Johns) and his staff work and edit all DC's tv shows now. So i dont think they want to mix the two now.
Just a thought. Could be wrong. but mad hatter is more hypnosis than draining will power. He also isnt a physical match, which is why he turned to his tech.

This is somewhat unrelated and idk if it's been discussed here but does it annoy anyone else how they change character's names and origins? I understand you have to make them fit within the story arc but most of the changes seem unnecessary. I'm talking about throughout the whole show, not just the ones mentioned in the article.

haha most of us love that aspect of the show. not being weighed down by canon. its also fun to see old characters reimagined in today's world and story. i think its one of the key things that actually makes the show work. They have the freedom to mold different things to make a better story, instead of sacrificing story for old continuity, which brings down some shows.

In the comics he uses hypnosis and technology to control peoples minds. But in the comics (at least in some of the stories), he did have surprising fighting skills. Keep in mind that in the comics Vertigo basically had a superpower that caused the Vertigo effect, where as on the show he created a drug to do it. I just think it would be a bigger leap to change Scarecrow's fear toxin into a willpower draining chemical, than to change Hatter's mind control devices into a chemical.
With that said though, neither character really fits the description unless liberties are taken. It'll be interesting to see who it actually is.

Which changes did you not like?
I loved what they did with Felicity's character, and I liked what they did with Vertigo's character. The only thing that really bugged me at first was that they changed the name of Star City to Starling City, but I got over it.

Been meaning to ask this, but during the episode with the suicide squad there is a character they just showed just a brief glimpse of the back and a laugh or something..
Was hat supposed to be Harley Quinn??
Here is an interview in which Amell talks about the Harley scene: LINK
I'm pissed they had to cut her from the season finale.
Also this is an interesting quote from him about Batman villain being in season 3:
quote:
Earlier in the Q&A, Amell had suggested that Batman villains may appear on the show's upcoming third season, and noted that DC trusts the series more now and in fact seems willing to give them access to characters that would have been off-limits in the first or even the second seasons now that the show has proven its ability to do DC heroes and villains justice

if they do use a Batman villain, maybe this is how they tie in Nightwing.

The only other character that that description makes me think of is Brother Blood, but that won't happen now.
