If you enjoy delivering pizzas more power to you. For me my free time is infinitely more valuable than picking up an extra $200 on the side. I agree with those that say you can make that up by spending less.

I 100% get the idea of wanting a side job where you don't have the stress of making decisions. That's worth more than $15/hr even if others might not understand.
While I don't know about pizza delivery another side job that paid good and was easy/fun was being a ref through something like YMCA. I think it was like $15-$17 a game and could do a couple games during the week or weekend. Anything from adult softball (some stress) to 4-5 year old soccer (no stress).
I also did Dave Ramsey and been debt free now for years. Good luck and you should be proud of your hard work.

Like others here, I applaud the OP for getting up off the couch and hustling. There is no global answer here for everyone's individual situation, but I personally would be hesitant to deliver pizzas door-to-door from a safety standpoint. Pizza Delivery folks get dead or robbed probably at a higher rate than the general populace.

I do extra work in movies. My mom and I try to do the same ones. We'll make $100-$200 per day. It isn't labor intensive, can be fun, and I can do it when I want.

I don't really have the time/flexibility in my schedule, or I definitely would consider doing this.

Thanks for the ideas. Im keeping a pretty detailed log where i track location, order total, tip, delivery time etc... im going to calculate some correlations in hopes of being more efficient. I know, way over thinking this but im a nerd and may stumble across a hidden recipe to more cash.

Out of college, I managed a Pizza Hut. We had a guy who would work 5-9pm, five days a week, and he would leave with about $120-150 a night. Impressive.

That doesn't surprise me. Between, wages, commission and tips I made good money delivering pizzas.
However, the best job I had growing up was working at a Sonic as a carhop. I was pulling in at least $20/hr-$25/hr (mostly cash) during the summer time. Not bad for a highschool/college part time job. The advent of their credit card machines kind of put an end to all that though.
ETA: For delivering pizza, though, you have to take into consideration, gas money and wear/tear on your vehicle.

i wait tables at a swanky restaurant on fridays or saturdays. work from 6-11 fridays and 4-11 saturdays. sometimes i only make 80 bucks because we are slow. other times i make 300 (most ive ever made is 500) a night. on average, it brings home an extra 1000 a month.
I dont know what the male equivalent is, but i find that i make better tips when i wear low cut shirts, and really blingy jewelry, too much make up (like almost stripper-esque. i even put on false eyelashes) and wear my hair down despite the fact that i have worn it back at every other restaurant ive ever worked at.

While I think the pizza gig is great for a limited time - since you say its only till September - You need to find a way to use your skill set that pertains to your "real" job. Look for opportunities to freelance or do contract work in your field if its at all possible. Yo uwill earn more plus make contacts thats could help you in the future.

You make $73k/yr and are delivering pizza for extra $$? Just cut down on the hookers and blow man. You make plenty enough to be able to enjoy some leisure time. Unless you have a bunch of lil Boosie's runnin' around.

I think you could find better ways of using your time (and bettering your situation) than delivering pizzas. Why not read books pertaining to your job or scour the internet learning stocks... these won't have the immediate return but I feel like you will be better off in the long run.
