If the defense plays well this team will be scary good.

I think a lot of people don't realize just how good of a coordinator Coach Cameron is. Our offense could even be better with an extra year to add more of coach Cameron's game plan. If our defense can play better than last years, we will go no worse than 11-1.

Even after losing your quarterback, best running back, and two best wide receivers?

The offense will not out up the numbers we saw last year. We do have the advantage of teams having very little game tape of what we are running.

If the defense plays great, this team wins 9 regular season games. If not...

The OP is drinking the Kool-Aid.

We lost our stud QB, RB, and 2 WRs. We have complete uncertainty at QB, by far the most important position on the offense.

If you think our offense is going to be better than last year's, you're simply a blind homer.

Plus, we have 7 tough games. I'm predicting 9-3.

The offense won't be better than last years in this upcoming season. In the next 2 years, when all these young players mature and gain experience, then yes maybe they could be better.

But next year? Nope.

defensive play is something that i consider to be a given, we will be very good on that side of the ball.

if we can get away with 65/35 on o, we will be scary good. we need kenny hilliard to step up.

I personally believe if the entire LSU team plays well, the team will be good.

I love the optimism, and also think LF will leave LSU as our greatest RB in my lifetime (and I'm not a star gazer - just really do think that kid is a once in a generation talent with his head halfway in the right place).......that said, the connection that Mett, Beckham, and Landry had - as well as that kind of raw talent - is not something that's replaced overnight, and we will not throw the ball like you saw last year anytime soon.

The offense could be just as prolific, as the o line will be the strength, and the backs - even without LF - are sec backs.

I do think ultimate success and record depend on the D. Just not sure we are getting to the same conclusion the same way.......even Cameron can't teach experience.

Pump the brakes bro. This is going to be a "building" year for LSU. There are going to be so many young players getting significant PT and that will undoubtedly lead to a lot of freshman/sophomore mistakes. 2015 and 2016 are the years that LSU could be scary.

Cameron isn't a magician. You can't come in and make two inexperienced QBs with no experienced receivers around them become studs.

We don't even know who the QB is and we have no proven WR

Slow down.
