Fargo vs True Detective

Both are self contained short run series about murder, but that is where the similarities end. Both lead actors on Fargo & TD are outstanding with an edge to TD, but the supporting ensemble on Fargo blow TD out of the water. The humor on TD was great, but much more subtle than on Fargo. And I prefer the latter. As we approach the finale of Fargo I find myself enjoying the series as a whole more than TD. Im sure I am in the minority but at this point I would have to say that Fargo is the better overall series. Does anybody feel the same way?

I think Fargo might be better if the ending matches the rest of the season.

I agree. Honestly, if TD wasn't set in Louisiana, you wouldn't be in the minority.

I really enjoy both but I have to say I looked forward to True Detective each week more than I do Fargo.
But wait.. Fargo is just a "mini-series" as well? So the finale is the end of this storyline? This is news to me.

Both are great, but I think I've enjoyed Fargo more overall.

Fargo will be forever and always be under True Detective, primarily because of HBO and the option to show fantastic boobs.

I fell asleep from boredom trying to watch the first episode of TD. Haven't tried again since. Have enjoyed Fargo so far. Maybe I'll give TD another shot that isn't before bed so I can attempt to focus on it better.

The Emmys are going to have their work cut out for them this year with True Detective, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Game of Thrones, House of Cards, and Fargo

IMO Fargo is way better
BBT in Fargo is incredible
It's gonna be weird to go back to Sherlock after seeing Martin Freeman act the way he does in Fargo
TD was good but Fargo blows it out of the water IMO

I enjoyed both immenselly.
I have looked forward to every episode of each. I have been kept on the edge of my seat wanting more at the end of all episodes of both series.
And now the difference:
What I loved about TD moreso that Fargo. I absolutely loved the feel of TD. The setting, the set, the score, the dialogue, the actors, the lighting, the time frame, the cinematography of it. TD felt darker, more sinister, more real. I wanted to be a part of TD. Fargo feels more fictional, comedic, and chirpy. I don't enjoy the feel of it.
What I love about Fargo over TD. The story. The writing, the plots, events, interactions, movement, the anticipation. The writers did a better job than the TD writers.
TD was like good sex with a smokin hot sloot. Fargo is like the game of chasing down a potential gf

I want to go with Fargo, but 2 reasons make it extremely hard to choose Fargo over TD.

I couldn't keep up with FArgo after the first 3 episodes so I quit watching. I also found Dr Watson annoying - like he was imitating William H Macy.

Why can't yall just enjoy two terrific and refreshing shows? Both are must see television. Can't wait for next weeks finale. Pretty sure it will not disappoint.

I loved Fargo - it was extremely well written with strong characters.
I can't wait to see the next season.
