It's hard to focus on Nitro when you have to worry about a 400lb black bear stalking golfers out there. We were also warned that there were quite a few alligators too
You city kids.

We go year round. Our championship is normally in June, but we moved it up because of another tournament was scheduled on our usual date that a bunch of our guys play in. Ellendale is up next in July.

Yeah right. I grew up in a neighborhood with 3 houses in it on and old hunting ground and I spent most of my time at Money Hill. I wouldn't really call that the city livin

Yeah but once you moved to NOLA you became urban folk.

The old members out there were telling us about their course as if we had never played it before and the guy tells us about this 4hundo pound bear walking across one of the fairways about a year ago. He was trying to frighten us young whipper snappers.
So yeah everyone watch out for a bear that was there this one time

Say hi to Tripod.
Seriously, it's gonna be wet so don't expect much roll. Avoid the pot bunkers and don't go for the sucker pins

Watch out for bears and don't hit driver on some of the shorter par 4's. play for position

It's a pretty straight forward golf course. 16 is the only hole that has any trickery to it. I find it favors a cut off the tee more often than a draw. Stay out of the green side bunkers as they are set back away from the greens a little. Kinda different, if you play the right set of tees for your skill level, it's not overly difficult.

Yea, until you end up in a bunker that has no reason to be there other than Pete Dye forgot to take his medicine that day...

Tbags suck. Wet golf sucks. Atchafalaya sucks. Indoor parties suck. Also brick floors. Tearing mine out and putting something down that can hurt my kids more

sandpaper floors are the new rage
