Worst: Paris by a mile

You people and your "missions." It's never a trip. It's always a "mission" so you make sure people know you're doing good in the name of JC. God forbid you actually go somewhere and learn about another culture while helping out and not try to convert the heathens. It's disgusting.

Best: Vacation to Santa Marta, Colombia

Worst: Moscow

Most surprising: Lima, Peru. Really nice town with nice people and lots of things to do. Thought Peru was going to be a craphole.

Missions

Talked to a college kid just back from a medical mission trip to Nicaragua. He got exposed to culture, experienced true poverty, and provided a great service to the people. I'm sure there was lots of prayer, but everyone involved came away better for the experience. Nothing wrong with that.

Worst was a mission trip to Mexico where we got pulled over by a cop. We all thought we were going to jail

Had a similar experience on a mission trip in Monterrey. We bought some tall boys from a nearby gas station and a cop (the first we had seen on the entire trip) pulled us over for open container. Fortunately, we had just left the gas station and hadn't cracked them open yet. I managed to explain to them in broken Spanish that we didn't know the open container laws and were good Christian boys on a mission trip at the nearby church...not only did we not get arrested but they let us keep the beers. So almost the worst experience quickly transformed into a great one.

Actual worst was getting attacked by some some psychotic neighbors in France who were carrying a hatchet. The French are legitimate pieces of shite.

Split/hvar++1. Love Croatia, just back last week from our 6th trip. The people, food, history, nightlife r all great.

Riyadh saudi was worst. During Ramadan, and nothing to do.

I went to Italy for spring break with my brother and sister. It's was the best time of my life. We got to see Milan, Florence, Rome, and Venice. At night we would party with locals and other American students and during the day we would experience the cities. We got invited to a wedding in London next summer by an English couple that we met one night. Our last night was in Venice and I taught all of the locals how to shotgun beer and they loved it. It was an incredible experience, I'm definitely going to do it again.

I got robbed by two cops in Nogales. They told me "there's a lot of holes for white boys out here".
