Paris will get some playing time this year at either safety or corner. But I think he'll end up at a corner before safety because of the safety talent that came in last year with him I can see him playing safety sharing time with jamal this year in a ron brooks role. LSU will have place for all of these backs. It'll be like back in the day. With 6-7 DB's all rotating in with each other and all of them will get drafted. A decent a lot of ppl forget that we lost 5 defensive players last year not even to the draft. To transfers and dismissal. We need everything we are recruiting for

Man I really think Paris is staying at CB. Especially after the spring he had. I know hes a pretty big CB already, but man he was outstanding this spring practice and looked like an experienced SEC vet out there.

I had high hopes for Paris and he was better than I thought he would be during spring.

And in regards to who plays the nickel spot, we have rotated a group of players in that spot for a few years. And Im sure we will do that again to give the younger promising DBs some experience. But, I just gotta think that Dwayne Thomas will be the #1 nickel CB and get most of the PT and play in the crunch time. He was great last in that spot and thought he should have received more PT. But yea I can see us using a few players at that spot like always, but Thomas being the #1 guy.

Like I've always said, Chavis' 3-1-7 in 2011 was more entertaining than any of the spread offenses that were fielded that year. The way that the Chief played his DBs that year are playing huge roles in recruiting these top kids even though LSU is obviously stacked there.

LSU defense had it's growing pains last year and now it's time for some Tiger domination on D for the next 5+ yrs!

Peters has recently said LSU has passed State and is now up there with FSU as his top school. He was also wearing LSU gear heading to a national 7on7 event.

When did you hear that? I thought he released a list of schools with State at No. 1 and LSU at No. 3.

Yep... read the article last night.

Really sounds like hes leaving Mississippi... and I like our chances of getting him if he does in fact leave.

It does at the moment. I do think State will be tough to beat for Peters especially if their defense lives up to expectations.

A safety duo of Jamal Adams and Jamal Peters would be really nasty.

I think he released his new top 5 on his twitter account. Also think LSU is still very much in it to sign him, he was again quoted stating LSU feels like home.

Not sure if that's in order or not. But...

After the Bayou Picnic Peters said that Florida St was his leader, but LSU jumped over Miss St and is his 2nd right now. And the other schools in contention are Alabama, Ole Miss, TAMU, and UF.

Also said LSU feels like home and he could see himself in the purple and gold. Miles also sweet talked his Mother( ) and she likes LSU. She told Jamal that LSU fits him.

And that was just 2 weeks ago.... Regardless of order, we have consistently been 1 of his top schools and he's been here multiple times. It's obvious he likes us and we are def in play for him. And I would be shocked if he leaves the state of MS for anyone other than us.
