How long is Pre Trial Intervention?

I have a friend that was arrested for possession of marijuana and will enroll in Pre Trial intervention courses.

Not sure how long it lasts but tell him to be prepared for a lot of drug testing. They will call him at 8 in the morning and tell him to come piss before noon and stuff to try and trip him up and not give him time to cleanse.
A guy that worked for me was going through it for a felony charge before he fell off the wagon and now that he stole from me he has two felony charges.
ETA: I am pretty sure it's called Pretrial Diversion.

I did it 15 yrs ago and I think it was 1.5 years and $1600. Just a money grab imo. Like stout said, be prepared for a lot of pee test, bs counseling sessions and probably an AA or NA meeting or two. At least I don't have a felony or misdemeanor on my record.

I delt with it for like a week, then dropped out and went to court with a lawyer, plead guilty and got 6-months unsupervised and $525 in fees.

Went through it for fisticuffs in college. I burnt my first time offenders misdemeanor on a drunken fight with a friend.
He paid the ticket. I took the anger management class. 4 hours on a Saturday at the court house.
