Normally I'm not that excited about a guy like him because vast majority of the time those guys hit the bigs before even thinking about LSU, but to hear he went to Hoover for the SEC tourney then came to BR for the Regional on his own dime with family gives us a lot more hope than ususal. Plus hearing him say he will be on campus this Friday, barring a 1st round selection, sounded a whole lot different than most other high profile recruits. Said he was rooming with Diechmann and Byrd and stays in contact with them daily. This looks like a signing battle we have a legit shot in. Would not be surprised either way at this point.

Marshall did not send a letter to MLB teams saying do not draft me. He wants to be drafted high but he is a very proud person and wants to be be known as a first rounder. His parents are very well off but it will quite a bit of money to get him to LSU

To get him "to" or from LSU? I'm not sure if you're saying it's more likely he signs with a pro team or not.

Addition of Strall gives LSU 38 players going into the summer needing to cut that number by 3 by next season.

Threw 60 innings with one start. 63K/17BB. Entering his sophomore year, will have 3 years of elig at LSU.

Next years squad will be loaded! Its gonna be super competitive in the fall to earn playing time. The returning nucleus plus the incoming batch of talent really does have a legit shot to become a legendary squad.
