In honor of my new, bestest vegetarian buddy, Moon Flower, we'll be having zucchini and onions, sautéed in evoo, and fresh green beans that I'll stir fry in a wok with shallots, garlic, sesame oil, fish sauce, chili paste and a little hoisin .












I may have a beef rib for dessert.

I too am going the route of moon cricket fdt. I got my first little mess of squash out the garden and I'm going to stew it down with some maters and onions. That and some sautéed cabbage.


* my squash dish will have andouille sausage and the cabbage very well could contain bacon though

We are grilling again. Italian sausage tofurky, red peppers, tempeh, asparagus and zucchini

looks like this week will be the week of throwing together leftovers/emptying the fridge and pantry

tonight I took some leftover smoked brisket, chopped it and reheated on the stove (low heat)

made a quick pickle of string carrots and diced jalapeno

stacked brisket on warmed & buttered corn tortillas, stuck it under the broiler to melt some sharp cheddar

then I topped it with the carrot slaw and some creme fraiche mixed w/ sriracha, salt, pepper and garlic powder

turned out to be damn tasty
