I don't recall her getting commissioned - I think she must have taken some time off. Or maybe she just kept hanging around after graduating but I don't recall that either.
The females I remember are Michelle Hayes, Pam Heller, Valerie Bonin, Lydia Epting and another tall girl whose name I forget. The race split on those is W, W, B, B, B.
Michelle and I are back in touch as of a few months ago. She sends me updates on Mark and Abe Layani.
I pinged Pat last fall when I came across some photo's from Camp Warrior (1989). He's a high-fallutin' on-air news personality in Shreveport now.

To be fair - GK was flaming reservists/guardsmen - when he indicated his post, and said he served afterwards, most (who knew) were respectful - he didn't like taking what he was dishing out and posted the picture. I indicated at the time I thought it was off-limits, particularly as he was not posted to the ship until after the incident.
In any case, the heroes of the Cole were/are not douchebags - but GK is.
Should be off-limits.

Not anymore - he chucked all that to go help build a national brand in upstate New York - that's why I lost him.

shite, even in peace time, when the fleet goes out on cruise, they have a pretty good idea of how many guys are going to be riding home in the freezer, hazardous work

I understand - but YOUR use of it, despite your association with the ship is utter bullshite in the face of your talking trash to guardsmen/reservists who HAVE been placed in harm's way.
But, anyway, I'm sure in your douchey world that's all okay. YOU'RE not a hero of the Cole, though, period. You're a douchebag who served on the Cole at one time - big, big difference.

I hated having to handle final pay stuff for theses. One guy got blown over by jet wash and was never found.

a buddy of mine was the CO of a blackhawk reserve unit in FL, "deployed" to Katrina, they starting taking small arms fire on the first extraction, he made everybody divert to Jackson to have armor installed before resuming, PJ's went down armed
