I don't give a frick about this kid.

There should be harsh penalties. Make it so that people don't want to break the law for fear of the consequences.

Lavoro's lawyer Jack Holmes told KUTV.com that Lavoro's punishment is too harsh and is 'higher than the punishment range for sexual assault or aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. It's kind of crazy.'

have no problem with punishing the kid but the possibility of life is ludicrous.

Agreed. 5 years for littering. 3 for spitting on the sidewalk. Death for DWI. 25 years for speeding. All mandatory.
