What do I do with this thing? He hasn't moved at all except to open his mouth and try to hiss at my dogs. Obviously hurt which makes me sad. But he's also creepy and I want him not by my back door.

How bad is he hurt? Whats hurt on him?

If its serious, kill him quickly so he stops suffering

Do you have a fence? If so, get shovel, throw it over the fence. Neighbor's problem.

You are white aren't you? Pretend he doesn't exist and wait for it to resolve itself.

Paige needs a friend. Have you talked to her about coming to get it?

Do you see obvious injury? We had one in house laid on its side and hissed. Picked it up with towel and moved outside away from dogs

If he's hurt and you want to get him help, call the LSU Vet School Small Animal clinic. I've dropped off injured birds there before, I don't see why you couldn't drop off an injured possum.

Possums at night with their white faces remind me of:

I think you need to get rid of him.
