I wouldn't be upset of they just let Alan Dunn coach the pitchers and hitters. He's got to be tired of winning 2-0 games, and losing on Sundays 3-2.

This. Not sure why people overlook our ballpark and terrible non-conference scheduling. If he's going to post hitting averages under Javi...then show hitting averages in SEC play.
I don't believe you can have a magical answer at hitting coach to make everyone improve greatly. You're not going to go from a .150 average to .400 simply by the hitting coach. I will say though it can at least help. Hitting the ball is the hardest thing to do in baseball. Regardless how you see it though, Javi is doing SOMETHING wrong. Either he's not coaching our guys up or he's not recruiting the proper players for our system. Take your pick.

So post the hitting averages LSU had under the SEC and regional play under Javi. I want to see it because I honestly don't know. It seems our struggles happen when the competition is there and we need it the most. It's especially prevalent at the end of seasons we always seem to fizzle out. I know it's a streaky game but something has to give. I agree with Choup, we can at least get the best hitting coach available. That can't hurt, right? I mean, Dunn came in to a shite show at pitching and look what he already did. We're struggling a bit at the end of the season pitching but it's mostly because of injuries.

It was very easy to get the averages for year. Not that easy for SEC. SO I am not going to waste my time getting a couple different coaches for this. Plus its a moot point. Every team goes through struggling years where they fall to the 270's 280's.

More info on Virginia:
Mike Papi is one of their top players and will be an early pick. He hit .381 with an OPS of 1.136. This year .293 and .930.
Nick Howard should also be drafted. Last year .323 and .793. This year .252 and .614.
Brandon Downes should be drafted. Last year .316 and .962, this year .218 and .700.

Someone posted the SEC averages a while back, I know we hit .300 in conference last year which was 2nd behind Vanderbilt.
As for recruiting, we currently have two classes on the team that were put together after Grewe was let go and those two classes contain basically all of the everyday position players. Those two classes were better than the classes that have been here 3 or 4 years, and the class coming in next year is better than all of them. Recruiting is going much better now than it was several years ago, but we have not had a recruiting coordinator since Grewe.

Batting coaches cant make a team hit. Its not like they are going to revamp a player's swing once he's college age. Elite batting coaches are needed when player's are aged 12-15.
A good hitting coach at the college level is more of a psychologist than an actual technique coach. Good hitting teams in college are not coached into it, they are recruited.

This simply isn't true. Look at Andrew Stevenson as an example. He went play summer ball last summer, changed his swing and is a much better hitter.
