Hire Matt Heath. His teams broke school power and average records when he was the hitting coach at College of Charleston and Auburn.

I say look at our ranking compared to everyone else. If our ba is comparable, it's just bad luck the hitting isn't timely. May not be in the stars this year. But as we well know, you don't have to host a super regional (or a regional) to go to Omaha.

How many butts do they put in the seats at UCLA with that style of baseball? For LSU to continue it's attendance dominance changes will have to be made.

1. How important is that to you personally?
2. Does this mean that you will stop going to the games?

Some changes need to be made. I for one have found our games to be a lot more boring this year than any year I can remember. We have not had much offensive production. We are not hitting the gaps at all, a lot of balls being hit right to people. Either the coach or the technique he is teaching should be revamped. These bats are here to stay and techniques need an overhaul

Batting coaches cant make a team hit. Its not like they are going to revamp a player's swing once he's college age. Elite batting coaches are needed when player's are aged 12-15.

This simply isn't true. Look at Andrew Stevenson as an example. He went play summer ball last summer, changed his swing and is a much better hitter.

You actually are right. I should have worded what I said better. I played baseball in college(at Bama actually). Ive also been around a lot of baseball. A coach that knows what he is doing could revamp someone's swing, they just dont.

Schools like LSU dont really recruit players who are projects and need to really be taught hitting. The approach you take with the players they recruit is to make small tweaks if any. Not many coaches want take the chance to take a decent player in a slump, revamp his swing and risk him getting even worse.

Sorry I know im Bama guy but couldnt resist talking baseball
