Auctioning later round picks to get back into the 2nd/3rd

How would you feel about the Saints using our 4th and two fifths to get back into the second/early third round?
Part of me likes having multiple picks to potentially hit on, but immediate impact players aren't common after the 2nd round (perhaps 3rd in this deep draft). I think i would be ok with it as we are in win now mode and we can grab some raw depth through UDFAs.

I would rather dig into 2015 picks to help achieve this. This draft is DEEP and you could still find impact in the 4th and 5th. Not too impressed with the potential 2015 class

that is a lot to give up. we would essentially be left with only 4 overall picks in this draft.

It would likely take our 4th and both 5ths to get back in the 3rd. I'd prefer to use our 2nd next year if the right guy is there. The depth is too deep this year to lose those 3 picks this year vs. 1 next year.
I have no issue trading into the 2nd or 3rd as that's where the meat is in this draft. If the right guy is there then sure go for it.

Normally I'd agree with your theory but I'm confident in this teams' ability to find impact players after the second round
Edit: I'm not saying all those guys were pro-bowlers after a year, but they all played and in some cases started and absolutey made an impact

I don't think getting back into the 3rd is a priority for us. We've had impact players come out 4th and later for years under Loomi$.
Is everyone really freaking out about losing a 3rd to trade up for Cooks?
He's worth it. The value for the trade is in our favor as well...
Just let it go
