I think shite like this angers me more. The fact that History and Discovery can put out amazing material, but settle with reality tv.

Seriously, their entire lineup is reality TV

I watched it and thought it was thin. Too much ground to cover and not enough time. Plus I don't give a rat's arse what the political figures think. Historians and military comments were Ok. I liked the tie in with his breather not sealing to Hitler's Charlie Chaplin 'stash.

Hard to cover "30 years of war" in a short mini-series but its pretty well produced and good commentary from Powell, McChrytstal et al.

All docs pale in comparison to World at War but it was 25 episodes or so.

It was good, but it just things superficially, which will happen when you only allot a few hours.

Robert Ryan narrated a great WWI documentary in the 1960s, replete with real footage. Probably 20 or so hours. Some community channel on Eatel was playing it the other day. Great stuff.
