With little depth at several key positions, too!

Also, Zaha confirmed back to Crystal Palace on a season-long loan. Wouldn't be surprised if they buy him back at the end.

Torres off to Milan on a free transfer it seems. Hope El Nino finds his scoring boots again

I think he's going to do a bit better than at Chelsea. I didn't watch them all that often when he played but it seems he's still pretty good in terms of his clever runs, positioning etc . . .

He just has one of the longest mental crisis I've witnessed with his finishing / passing decisions when in on goal.

With that fee, I hope this is Lawwell's reaction:

If that's true it's unbelievable how badly they have squandered that money.

ESPN FC reporting that Monaco has made Falcao available on loan for around 16M pounds plus wages for the season.

quote:

So far, all of Real Madrid, Chelsea, Juventus, and Arsenal are contemplating signing the Colombian to solve their attacking issues.

quote:

Real are seen as the most likely destination given their long-term interest in the player, but they could yet face significant competition.

Not really new news but confirmation of specifics from a fairly solid source.

So Monaco's just punting now that their owner lost half his money?

Probably Falcao's creating problems. I wish Monaco would just go away anyway. Always seemed bs that they can play in Ligue 1.

Why would Chelsea let him go on a free?

Falcao to Chelsea makes no sense... Piss off Costa or try to run a two striker system...neither a good outcome.

Your weird Celtic/Aston Villa transfer news:

Couple weeks ago, Celtic signed Tonev on loan from Villa. Both sides knew he was injured, but he somehow passed a medical anyway. (Take with a grain of salt) Supposedly, he was checked again and now he's being sent back to Villa. This has spooked Celtic so much that all of our medicals for the rest of the window (and possibly beyond) are taking place in Paris (Wakaso earlier this week, Scepovic tomorrow).

If he's that hard up, stick the club on Craigslist: Monaco

Seems like they're getting desperate now to get his wages off. Before we got Balotelli, we were reportedly interested but were told it'd be about £20m
