It's a shame if this place doesn't make it. Owner operated and not a chain, good food and not generic fried seafood.

Today's Groupon is Breck's.

I loved the place, so if you're wanting to try it out, grab a Groupon :D

Went today with the groupon. I haven't been to that area for a while and was really surprised at how dead the entire shopping center was. I guess it's just summer time.

The place is nice, it had quite a few tables and was doing quite well considering the rest of the strip. The service was okay but the food was excellent. We were really surprised at how inexpensive everything was. Was tough to order enough to get to 50 bucks and we ended up a few dollars shy, even with dessert. We'd definitely go back.

Tried it today. Gotta say I was disappointed. BBQ shrimp was mediocre. BBQ looked like they poured it out of can and the shrimp were small.

The salad was ok I guess but it's a salad. Grilled cheese ok. Jam jam pasta was the best dish.
Nothing really memorable to be honest. Not trying to piss on their Cheerios but just calling it like it is.

Went there yesterday with my girlfriend. Overall we were pretty disappointed. We each ordered a pasta and each paid the extra $4 to add chicken. We got maybe 1/4 chicken breast between the two of us, and the pasta sauce tasted cheap. About five minutes after serving us, the waitress asks if we needed boxes (neither were close to being done). Then about two minutes after that, she brings the check. Ok fine, we pay, finish our meals, and decide to relax there for a minute. Then she comes back by and TAKES OUR DRINKS. We were in shock. By that time, we'd been there a total of 30 minutes. The place has a really nice design, though. Just needs better food portions, flavor, and service.

I usually go to the CC's in that area to study. Unfortunately, Breck's always looks empty. Hopefully, during the fall this place will be able to right the tide and survive.

How does this happen with you sitting at the table?

ETA: what time did you get there?

Good point. She picked them up, and then asked us if we were done with them as she walked away. The point I was trying to make was that we felt rushed out of there the whole time -- not a relaxing dinner. And they had plenty of empty tables, so we weren't holding them up. Also, to be fair, everyone there was otherwise friendly. We got there around 7pm.

This happened to me both times I've been, but I honestly think they hired people with no service industry experience. I could tell the server had no idea what she was doing. I was sympathetic because of that, but it was still annoying. Got my check before I ordered me 2nd round of drinks

Was yours a petite black girl?

All of that said, I enjoyed the food. Pesto pasta over marinara was awesome.

Must be some African/Italian/Red Stick fusion dish.

They toss the pasta with pesto and then the bowl has a layer of marinara at the bottom. I mix it all together.

Also, I think this restaurant being next to Walk On's isn't helping them at all.

Went today for the first time with my 8yo daughter.
Food was pretty good. I had the chicken parmesan, daughter had the shells with white sauce.

I asked if they served any bread, and she told me our meal came with a baghette. A few mins later, keep in mind I didn't even order this, she brought out 2 hamburger buns, sliced in strips, some nasty arse cheese melted on top. They were even still cold in the middle. Not warm, I mean cold as in kept in the fridge. Whatever.

The pastas were fine, as was the baghette she was talking about.

There were only 2 other tables in there, but you'd swear she was expecting to turn them all 12 times that shift by how fast she grabbed our plates, dropped the check (we WERE going to order dessert, but decided to pay and get the hell out).

The hamburger bread crap, $7.95. My freakin entree was only 13. Complete and utter horse crap.

All in all, food was good, communication and staff knowledge of menu was D-, service was F.
