not letting some of those senior starters play in the National Championship game. Leaves a huge black mark on Les.

Do you not want the head coach playing the best players in the championship game, regardless of classification? Les put the players in who he and the other coaches thought had the greatest chance of winning a title, point blank. And any coach who has made it to multiple National Championship games should be praised. It's never a black mark to make it to the title game. Les is a GREAT coach, the sooner some of you realize this, the better your experience as a Tiger fan will be.

having a full time job and wife doesn't make you a grown man, not saying T-bob isn't, but those things don't instantly qualify you for grown status

He has no reason to lie, literally none. Sometimes shitty games happen, and unfortunately for us, ours happened at the same time Bama was having one of their best.

FWIW the few times I heard the story I heard that it was Jefferson that did the arse kicking, not that I believe it

You mean the best players that were starters when LSU was setting offensive records, but not best enough to see the field the night LSU had the worst offensive game of the season?? Are we talking about those Best Players? The previous starters, now on the bench? Or the Best Players that produced ZERO points for the first time, ALL SEASON!

Because the best players, weren't best enough, when it WAS ABSOLUTELY CLEAR that they were not getting the job done.

And as TBob said about the Tenn game, the best player was on the bench until we needed a 4th and 18. So the coaches have proven by their own actions that they didnt always have The Best on the field at all times

What about being 300 pounds and 25 fricking years old? Dude isn't some 19 year old college "kid" anymore.

T Bob is classified as an adult using any metric you wish to use.

Dude is an adult...just hush. That's plain stupid even suggesting he's not. I'm sorry but having the responsibility over yourself much less yourself and another human being makes you an adult. Now whether or not you act like one is a completely different animal.

don't buy the whole conspiracy about a rift or whatever. Bama was pissed, made adjustments from the last meeting and just played a nearly flawless game. They were gonna wipe the floor with anyone that night.

Also, Miles & crew recycled the game plan from the game in Nov. Saban & crew had clearly planned for several weeks against those schemes.

I guess I don't understand why it matters to anyone. The game is OVER and its just a fricking GAME. Good lord, move on with your lives.

I tend to believe T Bobs answers, and accept them as true, just as stated.

On the other hot button topics covered in this thread, I will go to my grave thinking that JJ played over JL because two reasons:

1. I honestly believe that to some degree, JJ's playing over JL can be attributed to the fact that the coaches believed he was a better team leader. Whether that's because he's black and JL is white, I do not know. For the record, I think that was also the case in the Booty/Davey saga, and I've on both sides of the color issue, if it is / was an issue. I wanted Davey playing over Booty, and Lee over Jefferson.

2. I think pre CC, Miles felt more comfortable with a qb that had the ability to score with his legs.

I think that had Miles put JL in the game, we'd have won. I absolutely love CLM, but I will NEVER understand his thought process and lack of at least trying something different when plan A didn't work.

He thought JJ provided a better chance to win. Though I think that should have been reassessed at the half but it's over. Time to move on.

This. But remember it was only a 9 point game at halftime. Les believed we were only 1 play away from being right back in the game (ala Arkansas/Georgia that year), that play just never came unfortunately.
