I know he gets a lot of hate and love on this board...

But if you like him what do you like?
If you dislike him what do you dislike?

Personally I find Les Miles refreshing, sure I partially hope Saban was here, but Saban wasn't the same coach he is now while he was here. Les has been the second best coach in the SEC for awhile now. Despite all the turmoil, hurricanes, etc the dude has excelled despite the circumstances around him.
He is a great recruiter pulling in Top 10 classes every year and averaging a 8.4 spot over the 10 years he has been at LSU.
He is also a great family man and cares about his players, he has taken the extra step for troubled athletes such as Ryan Perriloux, TM7, and others and helped them through some difficult times. Now their choices would end their careers at LSU they all sound appreciative of what Miles tried to do for them.
Also the man just wins, it may not be pretty and it may cost LSU game but he is a winner. 10 games a year (which is his average) is impressive after 10 years and he has a 79% winning percentage (74% in SEC) is impressive in the SEC and College Football

Dude is great coach and deserves criticism, but also deserves our praise for what he has accomplished, no coach is above a little second guessing and criticism but Saban isn't walking through the door and Les is a Top 5 CFB coach right now.

Besides your stated reasons he's slowly becoming a national icon, in a positive way. His 'uniqueness' represents the uniqueness of South Louisiana.

I'd rather a shitty family man, like Saban, who wins a lot of national titles. What difference if he is a family man, he's a football coach

Every coach leaves at some point right? Can't coach at LSU forever

What makes you think Saban is a shitty family man? I've met him a few times and he seems to care about his family, his perception has carried over it seems.

The OP clearly stated if you dislike him, why?

Most of my problems with him were based on his decisions at the time and choice of coaches on the staff. He fixed a lot of his own problems with hiring capable coaches who can run the offense and defense basically on their own.

I like his authenticity and the fact that he hasn't brought any sanctions and negativity to the program.

Your reasoning isn't sound so I want to know why....

Ok his son and his daughter have issue, how does that make him a shitty parent? The daughter was of legal age and thus an adult when her issues took place and the son was a juvenile doing what we all did around that age.....

I love these types of threads because I was labeled a Miles Hater by many because I criticized him several times

Game management and adaptability during the game. He doesn't seem to have the ability to make adjustments to his game plan if it's obviously not working. We all know the game I'm talking about.

I'm starting to think he gives offensive game plan to the offensive coordinator and if by halftime it isn't working he takes control....

Defensive side it seems Chavis has free control so if an adjustment isn't made it is his fault
