Also fwiw slugger is the only company using three piece bats right now. Gives you a lot more whip which means a lot more ball speed off the bat. It will probably be the future. LSU's bats are two piece and still really good bats but IMO not as "hot" as Louisville.

It's called being objective. What he's paid to be.

Fwiw McDonald died to me (at least as an LSU icon) the day he lost his 4th CWS game for the Tigers,

I hope we can play them in the post season.

When we beat them at their place in the super regionals, will their fans high five us on our victory lap around the field?

usl doesn't mean anything to me one way or the other. I tend to root against them, but that's because, more so than any other instate school, they totally have a bug up their butt when it comes to LSU.

Sounds like you care a lot about a team that doesn't bother you one way or another

I have a really hard time rooting against any instate team. I was around ULL a lot when I was younger. The fans are the same at both programs, they are both passionate and cocky. I see nothing wrong with that as long as one recognizes the others talent. That's why I don't like to see someone calling someone out off of rumor. I think they are a really talented team with serious potential.

I love LSU, but Ben may be correct. Until we beat them they may just be better than us. Proof is in the pudding!

I'd be inclined to pick a team other than LSU when it's a close call because of the position as a national analyst. He always circles back to LSU anyway on those ESPNU shows. I think he does a good job.

Ben McDonald is in the business of agitating stupid people, like everyone else at the Mothership.

Heard yesterday that Rice figured out UL was altering the TPX sweet spots on their bats. If you shake their bats it sounds like little pieces of broken glass inside.

At this point in the season Big Ben is dead on. Time will tell if he's right when it's all said and done when it matters most.

Their own players are admitting it? If so then that's pretty bad. What did they say?

Well them beating us in half a midweek game hardly gives a good indication of a weekend series

I don't like him as an analyst. It's an opinion. And, FWIW, ESPN picked Finebaum as their SEC front man on the new network. ESPN has more shitty analysts than I can count. You or ESPN not agreeing with my opinion doesn't make it right or wrong.
