Yes, but if that focus group has been fed only Miley Cyrus twerks, they aren't going to know that monetary policy in the EU is even a choice.
And that is (and always has been) the job of the media - divert and divide.

I disagree completely. Cable news programmers have been instructed to make sure we don't learn anything. Instead, they bombard us with prejudices to keep us divided.

Try BBC World News. What exactly were they doing/discussing that turned you off?

Agreed, with the exception of the "unwatchable" weekly ratings leader that is fair and balanced.

An oxymoron in the controlled dissemination of information that is the mainstream media.
It puzzles me how supposedly intelligent human beings are so easily captivated by what comes out of their TVs.

I usually prefer cnn for daytime news but they have hammered that missing plane story to death. I'm sick of it tbh

They damn sure can't discuss the ineptness of the Obama administration. The same administration that they helped get re-elected by hiding the truth from their blind sheep in 2012. They simply cannot admit how wrong they were, so they have to report something else and continue to divert from the truth.

They are not fair and balanced.

So ratings are the primary indicator of quality?

I'll assume you posted this while listening to Britney Spears, savoring a Big Mac, and sipping on a perfectly crafted Bud Light.

OP's title says that Fox News is unwatchable. The weekly ratings specifically show that this is not the case.

OP did not say that he could not stand the network. He stated it was unwatchable when they lead all of the cable networks each week, which simply can't be the case if it was in fact "unwatchable".

Because a news station w/o political propaganda is extinct in this country, sort of like customer service. Corporations make a BUSINESS choice. They describe there business has impeccable customer service and then proceed to use every technical device know to dis-prove their claim. That is not by accident. As for news stations. Not enough $$$ to purchase TV sources that do not provide "fill in your political slant here for news propaganda". Both sides do it, though BY FAR, FOX is the biggest abuser because their followers belong for the most part do not want anything that disproves their political persuasion. Not to mention employing egotistical elitists like Bill O'Reilly who use their shows to claim they were once considered years aog to become The Marlboro Man while not claim the known fact that hew was also once considered to become while highly qualified to become BOZG the CLOWN.

I agree he probably should have qualified his statement by saying it's unwatchable for anyone with a triple digit IQ.

Isn't it?

I stopped watching years ago.

MSNBC is nearly as bad - just minus the racism.

CNN is easily the best of those three - and CNN sucks. Same news all day long, different morons telling it to us.

No one wants news. They want to be told why their beliefs are correct, they don't want to be told the news.

This makes perfect sense being that Fox News statistically leads the ratings each week and Fox's viewers were not successful in the last election eliminating the country from the liberal vomit that plagues us.

You are effectively saying the high IQ people like yourself have contributed in the run away train wreck that is the Democratic Party and the Obama administration.

I am effectively saying that the facts here completely dispute all of your claims.

Fox blows all others out of the water. Most watched channel. And it isn't just about beauty, these girls cover the news and they also have the opposite opinions to. So turn up your volumn and listen for yourself instead of following liberal bloggers.
