It worked for Jacoby last year. Drop him down a few spots and move Stevenson/Hale up

Jacoby had a swag level much higher than Bregs totally Different situation.

But Bregs is incredibly domed out he has to get out of this himself line up moves aren't gonna do it. He isn't being selective and he won't see many more fastballs lower in the line up because he is that bad at the moment.

No, he really doesn't.

Not to keep ragging on the guy, but he should have been walked tonight, but they let their freshman pitch to him, and it was totally the right move..Hope he can get it together, cause we need him hot at the right time, but now, I'd rather see Robertson up there...

I say keep him in the three hole and put Stevenson in the clean up spot. A high batting average needs to be behind him in order for him to see pitches. Experiment now before post season.

He won't start seeing pitches until he gets more selective he is swinging at everything right now. He is too good of a player to not figure this thing out and get out of the hole.

Apparently you didn't read a good portion of the in game thread. Sometimes it's pathetic how LSU fans treat their own athletes.

Back on topic. The calls to move him in the lineup will not change how he's pitched. He's being pitched this way because of scouting reports and he'll continue to get the same pitches until he can prove he can hit it. I'm not saying he shouldn't be moved. But don't anyone think that he will magically raise his average because he's somewhere else in the lineup

It won't change the pitches he gets but it would change the amount of pressure on him and his mindset, which is what the real problem is IMO.

Thats in his head though and I'm not sure how moving him will change that. Could make it worse. He's trying hard to get his average up. Bats 8th and he could try just as hard to get the 3 spot back.

Which is something I was thinking as well. It all depends on how he handles it. But like I said in the game thread he really just needs to relax and have fun, and things will work themselves out. He's a great player. If he just relaxes and does his thing the hits will start coming.

I agree. We all know he's good enough. He just needs to remember what it feels like to hit well and worry less.

I just wish he would stop acknowledging the negativity on twitter. He will come around. I'd rather him slumping now rather than in the post season

I don't want him slumping now either. a top 8 seed is still attainable.
