quote:- No. As a Clemson fan, I've seen him play against NFL WRs in Nuk Hopkins and Sammy Watkins and he didn't impress me. Doesn't turn his hips well IMO.
Kyle Fuller – Virginia Tech
quote:- OBJ once he gets the ball in his hands is fantastic. However, I don't think he's a very precise route runner thus I think he could struggle creating separation at the next level and his drops (the non-one handed freakshow catches) are worrying.
Odell Beckham Jr. - LSU
quote:- Idk why people say Cooks is the closest thing to Desean Jackson when Lee is easily the closest thing. Cooks is awesome, make no mistake about it, but he's more of a jitterbug than Lee/Jackson. Both of those guys are long striders who can blow the top off a defense. I'm very curious to see how Lee does. Like someone mentioned, if you get 2012 Lee, you get a guy some thought was better than Watkins.
Marqise Lee – USC
quote:- Dear God NO! Has done nothing but unimpress me in every single game I've watched throughout his career. I'm not sure if he dominates the smaller Big Ten teams, but in the marquee matchups I've watched he's been very underwhelming. He's not a first rounder.
Bradley Roby – Ohio State
quote:- . We could really use an offensive X-factor and Cooks is just that. I really doubt he makes it to 27, though.
Brandin Cooks – Oregon State
quote:- Yes! Like the post said, Verrett is an absolute stud who only lacks height. I am obviously all for height if you can get it, but give me hips and feet over anything else for a CB and Verrett has those in spades!
Jason Verrett – TCU

Nice analysis.
I wouldn't mind Fuller though...And I agree with Roby!...He should have declared last year when his stock was high..Now it's going down.
I think in the end we will end up with Marqise Lee and I would love that!

CB is definitely a top need. The position is a premium. Champ is a rental. P-Rob is on the last year of his contract. We don't know how he'll bounce back. Corey White is alright. We need depth and players for the future.

How's it been going bro?

1. Cooks
2. Fuller
3. Lee
4. Roby
5. Beckham
6. Verrett
I'm a huge fan of Brandin Cooks and he brings precisely the elements to the offense that we need. Breakneck speed, versatility, reliable hands, polished route running. He's the ideal first rounder for us.
I've been a big fan of Fuller for a while now, and I completely understand why he would now be in consideration for a first round pick. I think he's immediately no lower than No. 3 on the depth chart with upside to be a very good number two corner. I do think his upside is limited though.
Everyone else is just slightly less good than the top two. Roby could end up being the best corner of the draft but he has almost as much chance of completely busting. We don't need another Ohio State defensive back to bust for us.

I love how you brought up where Lee was ranked pre-season. He was a guy that most thought would be a top 5 lock. Injuries and struggles across USC's offense hugely contributed to his down year, and I think it's enough to get him to fall right in our laps. If he can prove that last year was a fluke, then we could end up with the best wide receiver in the draft. And that is saying something.

Agreed.
I'm a Clemson fan, and even I can admit Lee was the better WR through their first two years than Sammy was.
I worry a bit about Lee's size and think Sammy's build will help him translate better to the league, but elite speed is elite speed. Desean Jackson has proven that.

I like Lee the best. He's that guy (if he indeed drops) that people will look back in 3 years and kick themselves for passing on him.
I like Cooks but he is behind the other two possibilities for me. I think you sacrifice the tick of speed with guys like ODBjr and Lee, who I think are more complete players.
