Is it really? I'm not doubting you, I'm truly curious. That seems insanely low for a four year degree. I thought it would have been closer to a 75-80k a year average.

Are you in high school? Serious question.

About a grand after tax but not counting 401k, insurance, etc.. Doesn't matter though

When I graduated from LSU in 2011 the average starting salary was somewhere in the low 40s. That probably doesn't even account for the people that couldn't find jobs or did hourly work.

You'll probably have to suck some dicks on the side just to pay rent.

Are you perhaps interested in cooking crystal meth during your free time?

Sorry, I should have included that. Plan on living in an apartment in BR, single, no kids.

Here was my monthly budget right out of college making 32k(2250 take home per month)

$260 - 10% religious contribution
$750 - Rent
$250 - Groceries
$100 - Gas
$80 - Electric
$50 - Auto Insurance
$50 - Wireless Phone
$50 - Internet
$30 - Satellite TV
$20 - Dry Cleaning

Total = $1640

So subtract 2250 - 1640 and I had about $600 per month to save or spend

Oh, somebody's angry because another person has an opinion on a subject that differs from his. Thanks. GFY.

I made some bad decisions while I was younger and was forced to leave college with one semester left. I am still close to a double major in Accounting and CIS. I have no desire to go back to school. I've never taken out a student loan. I paid off my tuition with summer jobs and working 40+ hours during the school year. I held a 3.95 GPA and that's including each year, before and after I transferred schools. Even the classes I didn't do well in that were non transferable are being factored into that GPA.

You sir, could be the "flicking idiot" in this conversation.

I was just shocked that the starting average for a four year degree is anything less than 75k.

Drop that satellite TV and he'd have $630 a month to save or spend. Now it's a party.
