I'll give away one of my "secrets". Because I appreciate you fellow politards so much. For steaming asparagus... Don't steam too long, or it will get bitter. As soon as it darkens just a bit, take it out the steamer. Then douse it with lemon juice and sprinkle it with a bit of thyme.

Wrong, the ACA did, and you know it. You used her death on this board to go after Repubs, and you have blood on your hands, and you know it.

I've always thought the name of that spice was too feminine, so I've never personally used it. I've probably eaten plenty of it when used by my wife, but a man risks revocation of his man card if he doesn't comport himself as a man 24/7.

I grill my asparagus. Coat it with a little olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt and crushed black pepper. Yum.

I have a chicken stuffed with crawfish jambalaya thawing out for dinner. Last night I cooked a bacon wrapped stuffed pork tenderloin, with shrimp and Monterrey jack cheese.

Merlot appears to be the popular pairing.
Indeed! Unfortunately my wine knowledge is poor. (I'm a beer and whiskey guy). Any particular winery's Or vintages I should look at?

Normally I'm not picky, but the lamb scares me. It can be a difficult flavor to complement.

Whatever gave that cowardly idiot the idea that the BLM was interested in shooting anybody in the first place?

Maybe it was the fact that around 200 officers showed up toting rifles, pistols and heaven knows what else. That would be my guess.

What would your opinion be of federal agents firing on the unarmed women?

I would condemn it... DUH. But it's stupid to think the BLM has any desire to do such a thing.

Never steam your asparagus...

grill with a light olive oil coating on low, well below the flash point.

With the rosemary and walnut oil I'd try a younger Cab with the chops.

200 officers showed up to ROUND UP CATTLE and protect themselves from a crazy mofo who had threatened gun violence against them.

Go with Night Train. I ate some lamb in Turkey that almost killed me. The higher alcohol content might just be enough to kill all the bugs.

I have only enjoyed lamb about a 1/3 of the time I've eaten it. Not my favorite.

Ha! I'm old enough to remember Rosemary Clooney. From Bounty paper towel commercials, though, not movies. I'm not that old.

Here in Austin it grows everywhere natively. So since moving here I've used it more. Just walk out the door pick as much as you need.

Oddly they still sell "fresh" packages in the stores.
