I grill my asparagus. Coat it with a little olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt and crushed black pepper. Yum.
Oh. Hell yeah! I do that too. But no time for the grill tonight. :-(

Too feminine?? Have you never had a Bloody Mary ?

Bloody Mary sounds violent, that's enough of a masculine trait to overlook any feminine aspect of that cocktail.

I have a chicken stuffed with crawfish jambalaya thawing out for dinner. Last night I cooked a bacon wrapped stuffed pork tenderloin, with shrimp and Monterrey jack cheese.
Damn. You looking to adopt?

Tell me more about this tenderloin. That sounds scrumptious, but I'm not sure how to prep the shrimp. Did you parboil them before?

I'm particular about lamb too.

When it's been good, it was fantastic. I've had great grilled lamb chops (medium rare) and I've had great osso buco with lamb shank. However when it was bad, it was really bad. Lamb is usually bad when it's not butchered correctly, from what I understand.

Here in Austin it grows everywhere natively.

Don't ever plant oregano without accepting the fact that it will completely take over unless you dig up every last root. I planted some in my shubbery and tried to get rid of it. It won, so now I just eat it.

Whenever I make pasta sauce, I use it by the half-handfuls.

I cannot tell a lie. I bought them at the grocery store. It's made by La Boucherie here in Houston. LINK

200 officers showed up to ROUND UP CATTLE

No they weren't. Private contracted cowboys were hired to do that. Here's a post I made earlier showing who was actually instructed to fire the first shot:

quote:

Saw on Megyn Kelly last night a guy who was there doing a documentary piece on the protest. He interviewed a fed guy who was one of the "enforcers". There was a point when the protesting cowboys were going to go after some of the cattle the feds had rounded up. He then said that the law officers had been given orders by the Metro Swat team people to shoot anyone trying to take the cattle back.

I'd say that's pretty damning evidence as to who had "blood in their eyes".

Tonight I'm stuck at work until late. That means a quick meal. In the fridge I have some lamb chops marinating in a bit of red wine, vinegar, salt, and a sprig of rosemary.

My plan? Fire up the cast iron skillet. A drizzle of walnut oil. Get it good and hot. Drop the chops on, hit them with some pepper, a bit more rosemary, and serve with rice and steamed asparagus.

What says the politards? Any suggestions? Additions?

I've never gotten into lamb chops, I'm more of a steak/burger guy. I usually like to tinker with seasonings on my own (various combinations of salt, Tony's, pepper, Molly McButter, egg, worsteshire sauce and/or whatever I happen to have nearby that I might think would be a tasty additive) but last week I bought 3 different Weber seasonings for burgers: gourmet, Chicago style and Blazin' Burger (or something along that line).

Gourmet was alright, but Chicago style was pretty much just straight black pepper and dried butter . I'm hoping Blazin' will be good, but I'm not too positive considering the other two have been let-downs.

I've had really good and really bad ideas for burger seasonings. The worst was chili powder.

Yup. It's fickle. I always feel like I'm taking a risk when making it.

Thats what the wine is for!

So you're labeling a whole group based off of one idiot? Apparently nobody else agreed with his ideas.

Oh and the guy is a former sheriff but you conveniently left off that little tidbit

I was on my way to Ankara. I ate the lamb on a Turk Hava Yolaria (THY, a.k.a They Hate You) A300 that was pissing hydraulic fluid from the left inboard flap by the gallons on short final when landing in Istanbul.
