The more I play and better I've gotten, the more I enjoy watching it on tv. So I will say yes.

It's okay for me. Don't follow it super closely, but I'll watch every so often

I've only farted around a few times on the driving range and putting greens, never really knew what I was doing but was really good at it.
I can pick up play any sport, and I also love watching any sport.

To me the Golf channel is the clearest, brightest, sharpest picture on my TV, so I like watching it.

I really only tune in to the majors these days but when I watch golf, I then want to go play golf, so there is that.

Same here. Golf channel stays on 24/7 on at least one tv in the house. I'm pretty sure it lowers my BP.

I enjoy playing it but hate watching other people play it (in person or on TV).

I think baseball fits your title better. I find very few people who did not play at least youth baseball and yet love watching baseball on TV.

I like watching golf on TV but I prefer playing because all kinds of weird stuff happens with us hackers. Like yesterday. I teed my ball up and told my partner "I'm hitting to the sun so watch my ball if I lose sight."
Him: "OK"
I swung and saw the ball in a blur go straight for the center of the fairway but I lost sight in the sun almost immediately.
Me: "I lost it. Did you see it."
Him: (Laughing...yeah, I saw it."
Me: "Well, where did it go?"
Him: (still laughing) "It's right next to your foot."
I had teed the ball up to high and hit the tee out from under the ball into the sun. The ball didn't go anywhere.
You just don't see that on the PGA tour.

the level of skill these guys have can't be fully appreciated unless you play a little bit. its a difficult game that nobody ever truly masters and these guys make it look so easy.

I'd love to start playing again.

I pawned my clubs like a fricking jack frick thinking I gave it up for good after a really bad outting, now i'm getting the itch again

It's almost like clock work. I'll have a bad string and swear off golf for the entire season and pick it up next season.

You have to play on a regular basis to appreciate how good these guys are to really enjoy watching it. Lots of guys can shoot 64 on their home course when playing with a few buddies. These guys can do it anywhere, when the pressure is on and everyone is staring them down. That's what sets them apart.

That's called friendly golf. I've been playing for over 50 years. I've never seen a player break 70 playing strict USGA rules.

I think so.

There are some many thing you won't appreciate how amazing they are unless you have tried to do them and completely failed.

I like golf, because it is something i think anyone can do. Most just suck, but these guys are the somehow amazing at it.

Best round of golf I've witnessed in person was by BeaverPRO. First time I played with him (or anyone from this board). He went out and fired a 67. Lipped out a birdie for 66.

I think playing golf makes you appreciate it, but I know plenty who just like watching.

Personally, my whole life is consumed by the game. Even my education and future career. And I couldn't enjoy it more if I tried.

I really enjoy watching golf on TV if it is a course I have played. As stated by others, you can appreciate how good the pros are if you've played.
