First off, you can't win the Masters on the first 2 days but you can certainly lose it. Come back Sunday morning and the leaderboard will look different. Watson is playing really well so far.

I've been watching the masters this year but generally don't follow golf much. Pulling for Watson for no particular reason. But I don't know his history other than Wikipedia. Why is he generally considered a douche?

I consider him a douche because he puts on a front of being a deeply religious man (spoke about how awesome it was to win the Masters on Easter Sunday because this is the day Jesus is risen) then he turns around and berates his caddy on national TV over recommending the wrong club, and he'll throw tantrums on the course. He gets pretty whiny when things don't go his way. Plus, something about buying the General Lee and that hovercraft golf cart come across as douchy too.
