Get what? That some guys don't live up to the hype? Okay, if that was the case then why hype anyone at all. Why did LSU and Les make it a priority to sign him? Oh I dunno, he could fail. Doh.

The OP is a terrible post btw, but if fans don't get excited for elite talent coming in, then I don't know what to tell you.

And again, he hasn't even had a practice snap at LSU.
I'm happy as hell we have him and I think he will do well, but threads like this are just silly.
Of course we know that if he doesn't start and be all world, the tiger internet nerds will go nuts either accusing Miles of something or knocking the kid for not being the real deal.

Actually, I agree. Im not a negatiger. Just a realist. I am pumped for LF, but the hype is making me nervous. And I'm bitterthat I had to move out of Louisiana. Can only make a few home games next year. Texas sucks.

Geaux Tigers.

Highly-rated running backs have sure panned out well for other schools in recent years (like Alabama), so I think LSU landed a big recruit this year.

They did. But he's only as good as the OL.

instead of saying idiot shite like ive heard of other highly tauted players who were supposed to be great not turn out great....(which shows you rely only on what people tell you) just watch the highlights....see for yourself...trust your judgement. its so freaking obvious he is incredible and a sure bet ite like saying sugar tastes sweet. dude is friking incredible...thats not gonna change in college. and yes, he is more talented than hill. a little bit..but a little bit in every way you can think of....jesus christ man its obvious. this isnt a guessing battle

I remember his junior highlight tape, it took almost 5 minutes for anybody to tackle him.

He's like a faster, more powerful, Todd Gurley with quicker feet and better agility.

He's really...REALLY good. Those expecting more from him than Hill this past season are asking too much. Now by the time he's Hill's age, no comparison.

I hope for a 1400 yard 16 TD season, and I've seen many a freshman SEC dominate their first year regardless of what's around them. So I do believe it's possible.

Jeremy Hill played and dominated in the toughest part of our schedule in his freshman year with a weak passing game. He had 745 yards and 12 TDs on 139 carries in 8 games and didn't get to play Towson, Washington, North Texas, or Auburn. He only played Idaho for a quarter and onky got two carries vs UF. That is why I'll say that he could have easily ran for 1300-1400 yards and 20 TDs his freshman year. He played 3 quarters total of the first 3 games last year and still had over 1400 yards rushing and 16 TDs. You're talking about a guy who could have had 3000 rush yards and 40 rush TDs his freshman and sophomore years combined.

I think Fournette will be better than that. I think he goes for at least 1300 this year and could be an 1800 yard back next year (15 games ) when the passing game and defense is at its peak.

I think more powerful is a stretch.

Did I say anything about how he'll perform at LSU?

No.

All I did was make a comparison to a few guys who come around only once in a while with the COMPLETE skill set that all of these guys had. Everyone knew those four guys I mentioned were gonna be incredible because of the skills they possessed way before they ever took a snap in college.

You don't want to get excited? Fine, but how you can be so unexcited for a once in a decade talent like Fournette is sad.

I guess in four more years, you'll be saying the same thing about Dylan Moses.

He will be good, but not as good as you armchair football players are hyping him up to be. No one can meet your lofty standards so the rant will melt down when a true freshman doesn't rush for 1500 yards and win the Heisman in his first year of SEC play.

We have been recruiting him for sometime, and months after he commits, you ask "is he that good?"

Go watch his damn film.

Why be nervous? Hill lived up to the hype. There's no reason to believe this guy would shite the bed. He seems humble and a hard worker. We have a good O line and mobile Qb's. He has a real good FB and two seniors Rbs to help him. Hype is what's needed. Heck I don't think there's enough hype so I hope it builds.
