They built Wilhelm up so much in BL2 to be some badass. Only took two tries to beat him.

His dialogue is pretty funny, but can start to grate fast. That's what would concern me if he's a playable character.

I have enjoyed the series so far, but I can't help but feel like this is a cash grab.
I also wonder how many titles they are going to bring back Jack back in for. it's almost like they're nervous to even attempt to write a new antagonist for fear of missing the mark completely. *cough *cough* DLC villains *cough*

Definitely a cash grab. I don't care. The gameplay is outstanding as it is. The series writers don't take themselves too seriously and have a great sense of humor. What's not to like?

Again, this seems to be something to tide us over until the next-gen game is released. This is 2K Australia. Throwing it over to them leads me to believe that the main offices are working on BL3. They did say they are working on a next gen title, but I don't think Borderlands was the confirmed IP.
Anthony Burch, who was the main writing for 2, just tweeted about working with 2KA, so at least the writing will be on par.

the moon doesn't really excite me as a setting.
my only desire regarding the moon base was to destroy it, not help build it.
I'm ready for next gen Borderlands, not a Borderlands 2 retread.

Again, you don't even know what the full game will be. But stick your nose up if you want. You'll probably be neck deep in diapers anyways.
If you think about it, Handsome Jack just showed up in 2 with really no idea of how he got to where he was. A lot of story that can be told. Yes, it could probably be done as a DLC, but for what they would want to tell, it would be crammed in.
We have a long time before it's released so I'll keep watching the updates.
