I have no problem with him wanting to leave. I understand it. I'm just hoping we match and then get a lower round pick out of it.

I know Hoodoo - and believe me, i don't want them getting any better at our expense or any others, i just can't fault the guy for wanting to be a starter.

He's the twelfth ranked safety.

We'll get a first or second out of him.

If we match the offer, can we then trade him?

I think this is being cautiously optimistic. If this truly was the case, there would have been a lot more interest in him. And we would have given him a 2nd round tender.

Of course

We can trade him but not to the Falcons for 1 year after signing him to a new contract (not that we'd want to trade him to them in the first place).

He'll get over it when we match the offer sheet.

He is either with us or against us. I havent turned on him, I really liked the thumper mentality he showed at the tail end of the season/playoffs. I just dont want to see him go to the Falcons. But if we dont match the offer and he becomes a Falcon, then he's just somebody that I used to know.

I agree - and thats a decent way to look at it.

they you have people like Wicked Wayz who calls the guy scum cause he wants an opportunity to be a starter somewhere. its just sad imho.
