Why is smoking pot such a huge issue for the older generation?

It's still illegal at the federal level and almost all states.

Since we are older we have seen the outcome of our pothead friends from high school and it isn't something we want our kids or their friends to become. I cannot think of one of potheads that I grew up with only stuck to pot.

So you're going with the gateway drug argument? Do you not think that alcohol is a gateway drug, too?

I'm glad you feel the need to make decisions for everyone else

OK? Got any more anecdotes to scare us all?

I guess we're just gonna ignore the possibility of alcohol being a gateway too, 'cause if you say that you ain't 'Merican.

Do you have a list of which drugs are acceptable and which ones aren't?

Good thing they can't just go buy alcohol.

I don't smoke now, but did in high school. I would hate if my kid grew up to have a masters degree and a good job by the time he was 26. Same with my buddy who I would smoke with, he is now a pharmacist.

See how anecdotes work?

You should walk in to a corporate/law/investment banking/hedge fund office in NYC, LA, Chicago, SF, etc. and see all the Ivy League/elite university grads ripping lines of cocaine on a nightly basis, then following that act with a molly/coke/booze-filled weekend. These guys in their late 20s-30s need Cialis so they can get an erection with all that drug use. Are they not successful?

Yeah, everyone knows that smoking pot takes you down a path of destruction where you will never be successful.
