Verlander...bro? let's play:

Ichiro over Ruth at 9?
Sandberg over Jackie at 4?
Pujols might be a push at best over the IronHorse at 3.
Bonds over The Greatest Hitter Ever at 7?
I'll even give you Schmidt over Brett, just because of the stache at 5.
I'm going ARod over Mr. Lunchpail at 6.
Berra over Pudge at 2...glue behind 10 championships.
Griffy over Jones at 8.
Team will be managed by Pete Rose

Pitching is tough to analyze over the years, so I went with power and consistency and accuracy. No free bases from my starters; remember Maddux's 20K batters and only 300 saw a 3-0 count?

I tell my son when he's on the mound: "Chics dig the groundball, son. We don't need strikeouts; we need few pitches and off-balance hitters...Now go 'em, Tiger." [he's a shutout machine]

He will also need to know Long balls equal ratings which equal chicks.

Ill put my line up vs yours Chaz. But do I get to keep Gibson, since I added him late?

It used to be Spahn and Sain and pray for rain...well now its Batter up because my lineup will score and catch the ball.

To quote the Bugs Bunny cartoon....

Your lineup is extremely flawed too many lefties and no lead off hitter. My Pitching>>>>>>>>Your Pitching
