I went fishing and had 2 rods and reels, my tackle box and kayak in the bed of my truck. After fishing I went straight to my friends house. We left and got back late in his truck. As soon as we got back I went home. I took the interstate home so I was going 70+. No stops at gas stations or anything. Got home and only 1 pole was gone. I would think a thief would've taken it all. But I've never had a rod and reel blow out the truck. Ever happened to anyone else?

No but I had four rods in the rod holder on my boat got broken by a hoot owl. It was on the trailer and I was hauling arse to hackberry before daylight and that damn owl KO'ed 3 all stars and a castaway. It was tangled in the monofilament and shite everywhere

No, but I did lose a dryer out the back of my truck in the middle lane in the curve of Northbound 110 by the Capitol one time. I had a special trip planned to Monroe from BR to take the dryer to the camp and showed up sans the dryer. My ole man shook his damn head for a month over that one.

That blows.

Never "lost" one from the back of a truck but I did break one when I went through a Burger King drive-thru with my rods in the rod holder I had fixed to my toolbox. Just broke an All-star.

No, but had a whole rig go overboard while I was trying to unhook a speck. It was my fault for sure, but I was alone and the specks were hitting almost before the lure hit the water.

I was next to a truck one time and it looked like their bail released...the line ran out the back hooked on something and the whole rig flew out of the truck and the guy behind him smashed it to bits...no chance to tell the guy anything...too much traffic...

How about an entire boat with decoys and accessories? From Ducksouth.com...a kid that goes by OneShotPayne.

Last year, while leaving Madison at one in the morning to go hunt some public land near Vally Park, we made the mistake of thinking the weight of our decoys and blind bag would hold our boat on the trailer. Later we found out that it wasn't enough weight. When we arrived at our duck hole, we saw that there was nothing on our trailer. Yea...we lost all of it. If there is anyone who knows where I could find any of this stuff it would be greatly apprechiated. If not I have to come up with about 800 dollars to pay my dad back.
